Cultural Analysis
MSc 1 year full-time
Sociology is taught in an interdisciplinary context within the department and its postgraduate programmes link the social sciences with the humanities. The main aims of the MA Cultural Analysis are to enable students to gain a deeper knowledge and systematic understanding of issues in social and cultural analysis through specialist study and research and to develop students’ skills and competencies in the full range of qualitative and interpretive research methods and techniques relevant to the investigation of culture and society.

Assessment
Coursework, plus a dissertation of up to 12,000 words on an agreed topic.
Entry Qualification
The degree is designed to appeal to students from a variety of cultural and academic backgrounds. You would normally have the equivalent of a good first degree in the humanities or social sciences.
These are in addition to the General Entrance Requirements.
