Public Network Sockets
For users who do not have wireless capabilities or who can not configure their settings (e.g. due to corporate desktop restrictions), there are a limited number of "public" wired network sockets located in the University Library and the James France exhibition area. These sockets use 802.1X wired authentication (eduroam Tier2 / Tier3) to enable visitor access.
Current eduroam enabled wall sockets on campus are:
-
James France exhibition area sockets:
-
Single labelled socket on external wall nearest the cafe.
-
-
-
Sockets 03:xxx and 03:xxx Near the Cafe 641 internal entrance
-
Over time it is hoped to increase the number of areas covered by eduroam public sockets. Look out for the eduroam signs indicating public socket availability.
