Background

Obtained BSc degree in Mechanical Engineering (1988-Amirkabir University), MSc in Computer Integrated Manufacturing (1994-Loughborough University), and PhD in Modelling of Cell Control Systems (2000-Loughborough University).

Worked for more than 15 years in various industrial domains in different capacities, including shop-floor supervisor, design engineer, production engineer and research collaborator. In the early years, he was focused on the practical and technological aspects of running manufacturing organisations, however, in recent years he has concentrated on the business aspects of various enterprises and higher level criteria important for managing an efficient manufacturing organisation. He has experience in a wide range of industries, including: mechanical machinery and tool manufacturing, food processing, automotive manufacturing, the UK train maintenance industry, sports engineering and the electronics industry. Currently his main focus is the application of modelling and simulation to automation systems.
