Dr Von Vadher is University Teacher specializing in teaching Electromechanical Power Engineering and Electrical Technology .
Dr Vadher has wide range of research and teaching experience in Electrical Network Design and Modelling/simulation of Electrical Machines and Drives ,Linear Induction Motors, Induction Heaters , Pulse Power Networks, Electrical Power Generation , Transmission and Distribution.
Dr Vadher was Senior Lecturer in the Department until he took early retirement a few years ago, and is now engaged as a University Teacher specializing in teaching Electrotechnology , and Electrical Power and Machines, to Foundation year students and undergraduates , which he thoroughly enjoys.

Born in Kenya . Attended Loughborough Technical College from 1967-1969 , followed by Aston University from 1969-1973, then Imperial Collece from 1974-1977 . He was employed during his college and undergraduate study - as an Apprentice , then as a student apprentice and finally as design and development/research engineer at Herbert Morris Ltd, the crane and hoist equipment manufacturer in Loughborough.
Dr Vadher joined Loughborough University in 1977 to study for PhD and continued in the department as a Research Associate , followed by Research Fellow , then Lecturer and then as a Senior Lecturer, before he took early retirement a few years ago.
Dr Vadher was a part of the Power Engineering Research Group headed by Prof I.R.Smith from 1977 to 2001, and carried out wide ranging of research in Electrical Machines and Drives , Pulse Power Networks , Linear Induction Motors and Induction Heaters , Aircraft Electrical Power Generation , Electrical Batteries modelling and Energy management systems
As University Teacher Dr Vadher is engaged in teaching and examining modules in following subject areas :

Dr Vadher is also involved in final year project examinations ( BEng and MEng) as a moderator.
