Mike Parker is a researcher in the Pulsed Power group. His research activities are centred around developments in Pulsed Power technology and techniques. Mike is involved in the development of high-voltage, high-power Pulsed Power systems; his work includes the modelling and development of pulse transformers.
He graduated from Loughborough University in 2009 as a Master of Electronic and Electrical Engineering and started a PhD shortly after. During his degree he focused on Electrical Machines and Power Systems, Control Systems, Fast Transients and Electromagnetism, Electro-Magnetic Compatibility and Renewable Energy. Previous employers include the Centre for Renewable Energy Systems Technology (CREST) and the Energy Technologies Institute (ETI).
