Emma Kowalczuk is a PhD student, currently working in the Wireless Communications Research Group. She obtained her masters degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering in 2009 from Loughborough University.
Her research focuses on packaging of high frequency components, specifically of optically controlled microwave switches under the supervision of Mr. Rob Seager and Dr. Chinthana Panagamuwa
Emma Kowalczuk undertook her Industrial Placement year (2006-'07) at L-3 Communications TRL Technology, conducting research into GPS jitter in relation to timing accuracy and designing a GPS receiver module. She also worked briefly for Anritsu where she designed a power meter demonstration device.
