Motorola donates equipment - February 2007
Motorola has donated a collection of equipment which includes a large anechoic chamber the size of a small room! Researchers at the Department are delighted and ready to get their sleeves rolled up
The chamber will be used by the Department’s Wireless and Mobile Communications Research Group to study mobile phone antenna performance and wireless networks.
In addition, two large environmental chambers have also been donated to the Department’s Centre for Renewable Energy Systems Technology (CREST).
These chambers will be used by a team of researchers working on testing solar modules for their energy generation and durability, and also on the next generation of solar panel technologies..”
