Continuing professional development

We offer numerous Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses each year. These courses are advantageous to employers and employees because:
- they provide access to university facilities and expertise
- they initiate improvements in business / individual knowledge and skills
- employees are only away from the workplace for short periods, usually one week.
- each course is linked to a Postgraduate qualification
Each of our short courses is a module on one or more of our MSc Programmes (see the 'postgraduate study' links in the main navigation). As a short course delegate, you may attend a module purely for your knowledge and skills needs, but if you would like to work towards a Postgraduate qualification, you may elect to take the appropriate assessment as a temporary student.
Entry requirements
In order to get the most from our courses, you need to be a science or engineering graduate, or equivalent who is working in a relevant industry.
If you have any questions, please contact Amanda Pearce.
Short courses for this academic year
Please note: courses are timetabled in August for the following acadmic year. If you wish to register an interest in a course without commitment please contact us.
