Gecko Writing Contest
We have just launched the 2010 edition of our international writing contest. Participants stand a chance to jump-start their professional writing career.
All travel, food and lifestyle guidebooks can be submitted. The winning titles will be showcased on the Insight Guides (Berlitz) booth at the world's largest book fair in Frankfurt, and the grand prize is a personal trip to the fair. A big opportunity for writers to meet and mingle with renowned publishers and to expose their titles to over 299,000 visitors and 10,000 journalists.

Submission deadline is September 15, 2010. All new and previously published guidebooks can be submitted. Participation is free, authors keep all copyrights and even earn on every sale.
