Biography

Dhammike is currently working as a Postdoctoral Research Associate of the Digital Imaging Research Group (DIRG), Department of Computer Science, Lougborough University. He received his bachelor's degree and a postgraduate diploma in Electrical Engineering from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. He received his PhD degree in Computer Science from Loughborough University, UK in November 2005. His PhD research focused on transform domain texture synthesis and mapping. Since obtaining his PhD he joined the Digital Imaging Research Group (DIRG) as a Research Associate and worked in the EPSRC funded StoryBank project which concluded in February 2008. From March 2008 to Febraury 2010, Dhammike worked at Intrasonics Ltd, Cambridge. In February 2010 he re-joined DIRG as a Research Associate on the TSB/EPSRC funded AllCast project. Dhammike is responsible for managing consultancy activities of the DIRG and small projects in the area of mobile application development.
